Motor bikes on sidewalk

I was walking to my car from campus and some asshole came behind me on one of those motorized dirt bike things. When I was crossing the street on Carson he was in the intersection I supposed that he was going to be turning but instead he decided to ride behind me while I was walking on the sidewalk going west. It scared the crap out of me to say the least. He didn't say anything like watch out or behind you. Even so, it's illegal so I called the police.
