Ugh, how to start this? I suck at introductions.

I'm a cranky old net hermit hailing from the dark days when 8 tracks roamed the earth. I'm also an unapologetic geek and gamer. I had a small core group of friends until around 2018, and 2019 saw the last of them, people Ive laughed and cried with for over a decade and quarter century respectively, decide after a single argument that I'm somewhere between a leper and satan incarnate. This holiday season was the first one spent truly alone, and it broke something. Against my better judgement I tried reaching out to extend two olive branches and invoke auld lang syne. I pulled back a pair of torches.

So, time to start over I guess. I have health issues that make my remaining years an uncertain number, but I'd rather not spend them alone. Looking for a few people who might eventually think I'm worth spending time with. I said I'm a gamer, but specifically I'm a coop gamer. I dont do pvp. I also dont do politics, religion, or prejudice of any flavor which disqualifies me from most "communities". I have learned to set and enforce personal boundaries which has gotten me called everything from a narcissist to an abrasive personality to things that would probably get me moderated for repeating. I'm not going to get along with everyone, but I'll give anyone a fair shot.
