I thought I had made a friend on Reddit. At first, he seemed cool, but then his behavior started to change—he became rude and odd. I ignored the red flags, which I now regret. One day, I casually sent him a snap from work, not realizing my live location was visible. He took a screenshot and used it to report me to my job, lying about the situation. Today, my job called me in to discuss it.Looking back, I realize I’ve ignored similar warning signs in past relationships. Loneliness and desperation sometimes clouded my judgment, leading me to trust people who didn’t deserve it. It’s a tough lesson, but I’ve learned to be more cautious: • Pay attention to red flags. • Don’t let loneliness push you to ignore your boundaries. • Be careful about who you let into your life. • At the same time, stay open—just be wise about it.I’m not perfect, and I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I’m learning from them. Life is about growing, and I’m okay with the ups and downs. To anyone reading this, I hope you find kindness, trust, and what you truly deserve in life.
