I thought I found someone, but it was too good to be true..

I'm not sure if this is even the best place for this, but I just needed to vent a little bit. A few days ago I met someone online and things were going great! I really enjoyed talking to her, she showed interest in me and she even suggested that we go on a date. Honestly it was amazing - it has been so long since I've spoken to someone that lives relatively close and that I really enjoyed talking to (and felt like they enjoyed talking to me too)

Then today out of nowhere I got the following message followed by an immediate block.

Hey, I'll be honest here and don't want to lead you on any further than I have. I am not interested in dating you in any romantic aspects. Your a good guy and a really good person to talk to. I really do see you as more of a friend then a romantic interest. Sorry again

I'm just so confused by it all. I know its stupid since we had only been talking for a few days but damn this hit like a truck. The fact that she immediately blocked me after sending that message just makes things 100x worse because I can't even ask why the sudden change of heart.

Back to being lonely I guess!
