Like the title says, I'm 31 (male) and I grew up super sheltered. I was raised in a very conservative household and was strongly discouraged from dating or relationships that didn't lead to marriage, so I never really dated. With this came a long-sense of shame for anything involving lust. I graduated college and focused on my degree and then really focused on my career afterwards. Now I've got a good career but I feel like all of my friends now have moved on that they have marriages/families and I'm super nervous to even try dating as I feel too far behind and I feel shame with it. I wish I had disregarded my family's advice and started dating "for fun" at an earlier age since now I'm past the point of no return I think.
