I get I was never on a level playing field, but people just seems a bit batshit crazy. People are so absorbed in superficial stuff (we all can be in fairness) , that they don't see the crises heading straight for us. I say Brave New World, but I mean it. To make matters worse, I don't even really feel any commonality with most my countrymen. There are some people that are cool and I am forever grateful for them, but I would say especially with the opposite sex, sometimes they seem like they live in a different culture. But to add to that even mainstream culture has become bizarre that it is hard to relate to it.
I compare Dodgeball and Knocked Up to the movies now and while I don't want to get into times were simpler, I just feel like even basic assumptions about life are just so much different. That does not even add in Covid and the eventual Depression we will be facing. Honestly, the Big Short captures the tempo I feel about things. I get part of that is due to autism and with Michael Burry having autism it probably resonated more than say Kyle Bass making the same call. Anyhow rant over
