Being Alone Sucks, So Why Do We Lie To Ourselves About It Now Being So?

Post Body
I've been single the last 5 years and in that healing, self reflection, journey the dating pool got worse to the point that I found myself these past few months saying I'm happy to be single and then I look at my age. I'm at the wall stage and I'm freaking out cause I want kids, marriage, everything beautiful and I now I don't know what to do or steps to take. All I know is I hate being alone and it really does suck, so why do we lie to ourselves about being truly happy that we are when aren't?
