I can't tell you how many times I've posted on other accounts or on this one (but deleted it) where I state that I'm a male, but I still get mistaken as a female. There are SO many guys that message me that are assholes, rude, nasty, and so on for me having been abused and raped in previous relationships. I understand that it's more oftentimes women that speak up about that having happened to them, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let anyone tell me whether or not I'm allowed to talk about and be affected by my past
When I do get responses from women, they're mixed, but whenever a man messages me, they're always an asshole and incredibly insensitive at the very best. I can't imagine having to compensate so hard as to reach out to someone who is hurting in hopes of getting to rub salt into their wounds
