I came to this sub around 3 years ago to seek advice and connections after a terrible breakup that left me without a job, home, or friends. I keep seeing posts I this sub about people who who complaining about their lives and yet want to do nothing about it. They even get drawn to suicide as an option to damn quickly.
As someone who has made three attempts on his life and is now in a much better place with good friends, a relationship, and on the road to becoming a qualified mental health nurse. You have to be willing to make change yourself. Your life will not change unless you put in the effort. Find things you enjoy, seek out people who enjoy similar things, hang out with them, do literally anything and celebrate those small wins. And for those of you in your teens or early 20s. Your mindset WILL change over time. I'm now 26 and my outlook on life has changed drastically since I was younger.
I am more than happy for anyone who is struggling to reach out. Making that first step is difficult, but nobody else can do it for you. You have to seek out life and a reason for living on your own. The world can be cruel, hang in there everyone and do your best, life does get better. <3
