You matter. You make up a tiny piece of the fabric of time and space. Our experience of the universe is the sum of our sensory perceptions, and if you weren’t alive and sensing it, the universe may as well not exist. So at the same time as you are some infinitesimally small dot in the universe, remember that in another sense you are also the single most important thing in the universe. Your presence matters, it does make a difference. You have value, and the universe would be a little different if you weren’t in it.

If Christmas is something you look forward to, I wish you the merriest and happiest of Christmases.

If it isn’t, I wish it passes for you as quickly as possible, but also that you find some little moment in the day that grants you a speck of happiness (or less depression), and a reason to smile, even just a little.
