I'm often told that when you're upset when it seems really dark you should just keep pushing forward push through the pain push through the loneliness push through the misery you'll get better eventually and yeah while that is absolutely true that does leave a question. How long is it going to take before it gets better? How hard do I have to struggle and fight and really push for it to get better? Is it going to be as good going forward in the future as it was in the past or am I just going to have to get used to a lower grade of happiness than I've ever had before? Depression is a fleeting temporary feeling however that doesn't necessarily mean that things are going to be as good as they were in the past. Then abandoned by another person leaves a mark on you a scar if you will that makes fully trusting other people going forward sort of an internal struggle if you manage to actually find someone to trust.
