[30]M just went through a break up and it hurts a lot because I knew I wasn’t ready. I noticed I was loving in a unhealthy way due to my own demons and low self esteem. The relationship just distracted me from my real life issues and now I’m back to being lonely again. I want to change the narrative about loneliness and solitude. In order to love properly it’s important to first fall in love with yourself. You have to normalize being alone and getting a routine going. I’m taking it day by day making progress little by little. I’m also learning that’s it’s part of our responsibly to put in the effort to start conversations and reach out to make friends. So when I’m mentally better I will do just that. Being lonely isn’t always a bad thing and I feel we should put more effort into building friends and support systems. If you’re in Houston and want to connect hmu.
