Dreams shattered by voices that are drowning you out. Loneliness is not just from being alone. It can come in the form of never being heard to begin with. Loneliness is a darkness that is warm and inviting. And you fall in and its so safe you don't want to leave. You feel trapped inside your own mind and your own body and you scream for help with your eyes and no one can see it. Or hear those muffled screams. And some people think it's them that drove you away. But in reality it was the darkness inside yourself that consumed you, pushing them away that your walls vibrate and scream anything they can to drive them away from you. To save yourself as a form of survival, you become all too familiar with but you beg it to stop because your heart aches for that one its driving away. And everyday you're left with.... "they are the one that got away"
