I just want someone to love and be kind to, and be loved back. Someone I can talk to and chill with, but also who I can laugh endlessly with. But I never get a chance. I’ll start talking and vibing with someone for a week, then they’ll inevitably ask “but how tall are you?”, then ghost me when I’m honest. Why does it matter? Yeah I’m 5’0” but I can’t control that. I’ll NEVER ask “how heavy are you” that’s just shallow and stupid. But it’s ok to ask about my height. If they’re kind, they’ll say, “I’m sorry, I just want to feel protected” that’s totally understandable, but I’m also a Marine. Protection is what I’m trained for. Why does height determine whether or not I can protect you? Thanks for coming to my TED talk, that will be all.
