Hello! I just recently arrived in London and a little culture shocked. Was curious if there were any good places to relax and have a drink. I recently went to Bar Rumba and had a rather annoying time. (This was organized by my host school, Regent's, I'm from NJ so I figured it couldn't be that bad) I'll sum it up.and say I'll never go back, even though the bartenders were somewhat friendly.

I'm going to be honest. I don't like my countrymen very much. I actually came to London to get away and meet people and learn about other cultures. I try to have an open mind, even though some concepts elude me. Every Londoner I've bumped into has been massive help and extremely friendly. Just last night an elderly man told me about how his daughter is living in NJ with an american. Very warm to me, as I try to be gracious.

I really just would like to know a few.places where I could meet some foreigners around my age (19). I've noticed that American girls have the advantage, when meeting people. Not so much for gents.
