How much should I reasonably expect to pay for man+van?
Post Body

I’m moving from Southwark to Lewisham, so short distance (25 min drive between addresses). Only large furniture item I’m moving is a double bed. Rest is just various sizes of boxes and plants, a suitcase of my clothes.

I’m seeing a wide variety of prices and obviously don’t want to underpay anyone, but I don’t want to overpay either as I don’t have that much stuff to move (I’d use a car if it wasn’t for the bed!) Anyone have any idea how much I should reasonably expect to pay for this? Or any website recommendations?

(insert obligatory peep show men with ven reference here)

TipTapp is an app that might be of use. At first it was just an app for having things taken to a tip by someone with the means to do so, but they've branched out into moving stuff I think. You post a pic of what you need moved, then suggest a price and wait for someone to take you up on it. If they don't it means you've set the price a bit low, so you can re-submit the ad with a higher price.
