Ok so I’ve had my harmony one for years and love it! I know they’re not making it anymore so I dreaded having an issue but today is that day. So everything has been fine but recently I borrowed a vhs from my brother in law to watch some old tapes.....he didn’t have the remote so I figured I’d just program it. I was able to update the device and activity and use the remote for basic functions on the vhs.....

Now for the issues.....we noticed the battery was draining super fast like 20-30 mins even after docking the remote and it would be dead. Before I could leave it for days without charging and it would still work. Figured the battery may be bad so ordered a new one from eBay and it was identical to my existing one. Plugged that in and the same thing kept happening with draining fast so it wasn’t the battery.

I called Logitech support and she had me remove the battery and dock the remote to see if it would turn on without the battery which it didn’t.....she said the remote may be dead. My friend has the same remote which is working fine and his couldn’t do the dock trick either so that made no sense to me. I figured I’d look for a factory reset or something as the remote still works, battery is new, it still beeps and responds when docked and can be connected to the pc and responds.

Today when I tried to connect to the myharmony software I noticed that it is not reading that the remote is connected......tried this on both of my PCs and same thing....no way to sync. I’m thinking after updating it last something in the firmware or software was corrupted causing all of these weird issues. I cannot find anything that shows a factory reset command on the physical remote and without the ability for the remote to be read by a pc I can’t sync it or change anything. I have no idea how to fix this issue or any work around to be able to fix these problems. Really don’t want to get a new remote if something can be done to salvage this one. HELP!!!!!
