Is the g920 for Xbox able to be used on pc?

I want to let my dad use my g920 at his place for a while but he owns a pc
is There anything I need to do before starting the game or is it plug and play like the Xbox?
also will it mess anything up for going back to Xbox? I don’t want to set it up for the pc only to find out it won’t work on the Xbox anymore without more messing around.
if anyone can let me know what I need to do for it to work on pc and if after that itl still work on Xbox easily
