MX Ergo Questions

I'm looking to upgrade my M570's - and see that the latest model is "MX Ergo" couple of questions:
- What's the difference between MX Ergo and MX Ergo Plus?
So it comes with a USB dongle, would it be possible instead to not run it off that? I.e. Does this have Bluetooth builtin? I ask as USB ports are at a premium (mac user) and would rather not have a USB anything unless I must.

UPDATE: Looking more at this, I guess the easy switch allows for changing between Bluetooth / USB ( which is great, as I would love to have this also on my linux desktop). Still, how do people feel about this? Does it work, the handoff between Bluetooth / USB between platforms (Mac and Linux would be mine).
