Hello again!
We're back for round two of the weekly comp.
This week we're going to be making a 16bit risc cpu!!! Here is how it's going to work. You don't have to make some fancy isa or anything. u/fullyassociative helpfully submitted some doco found HERE follow those instructions and make the cpu.
Here is how we're going to do the judging.
- CPU Speed. As in how many clocks does it take to complete an instruction.
- CPU simplicity. We enjoy seeing clean well designed circuits.
- Clever ideas, Tell us what clever idea was to make an improvement.
- Label things. This help us or anyone else understand what's going on.
To pass you will need a list of programs.
- Fibonacci program. It needs to successfully pass this.
This week however we're making a change to judging. At the end of the week I'll put up a link for voting. This link will have a list of the contestant and you can choose one to vote for.
If we feel you have cheated. We'll make an overruling decision.
As always thank in advance and we can't wait to see some awesome stuff!!!
