Every week on the Queens of the Stone Age subreddit we take a dive into a band that has collaborated with, has influenced, has been influenced by or has toured with Josh Homme and our very own desert rockers.
This week we take a look at a band that is criminally overlooked. They've been active over 30 years and have yet to put out a bad album. Scott Lucas writes hooks and lyrics that are catchy and insightful. It makes you wonder why more people don't put the band right up there with other successful duos like Death From Above 1979 and The Black Keys.
Lucas is a good friend of Queens guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, and is known to be a fan of the desert Rock band. Josh Homme has sung backing vocals on the Local H track Rock N Roll Professionals. Local H has also covered the Mark Lanegan song Ugly Sunday. In case you didn't know, Mark was once a member of Queens of the Stone Age.
Come check out the write up! You may learn something new, or you may have something cool to contribute. Look forward to reading any comments that you'd like to add to help Queens fans appreciate Local H.
See you there!
