I just discovered Odd Bunch about a month ago, and they have made it a lot easier for me to get produce! They don't deliver to all of Ontario, but you can enter your postal code on the website to see if they deliver to your area... their website has a 1-time code for 20% off your first order, making a small box with delivery approximately $19.99. Then it's $20 for the small box plus about $3.99 delivery... I've included pictures of 2 of my recent boxes, and as you can see the produce is absolutely gorgeous! Honestly, it's better than what I've been getting at No Frills or Walmart (eg strawberries I get in store tend to go bad/mouldy within about 3 days, whereas I got strawberries from Odd Bunch that lasted a week! Probably longer, but I ate them lol)
For a small box (which is what I have pictured) it's about $100/month to get all of this produce. You are able to request substitutions (first substitution for items within the is free, second sub for items within the box is $0.99, and any substitutions for items from other boxes is $1.99) and you are able to skip a week as well.
Some of this produce isn't "good enough" for grocery stores (I often get mini potatoes that are too big to be considered "mini," but too small to be considered "normal" sized.) But often, it's just excess produce that grocery stores can't take. I've only ever had 2 "problems," and I wouldn't really call them problems anyways- I got beets in one delivery that got mushy after 2 days, and the brussel sprouts pictured unfortunately had a disease inside that caused their centres to be black. I wasn't upset at all about the beets, and the brussel sprouts look amazing on the outside/there tends to be this risk when buying them in store anyways.
With the cost of everything right now, this service has literally changed my life. Cheap, accessible produce, that also helps reduce food waste?? I'm in love 🥰 I hope someone else here can benefit from this service!!!
Also this isn't an ad lol, I'm just a fairly poor person trying to eat produce when it's getting harder and harder to afford at all :3
