IDK who needs to hear this but you don't need to be a chef to make your own beautiful pasta sauce that tastes authentic and not like any packaged bullshit. Crushed tomatoes, red wine, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, onions, garlic. 20 bucks will make you enough to bottle your own and use for months. Very freezable too. Save money, time and impress your dinner guests.
