Can you over feed YOYO’s?

I have 8 Yo-yos , 5 full size & 3 younger ones. I occasionally over feed to make sure the rest of the fish get plenty of food as the yo-yos seem to scare off the more timid fish. Last night before bed was one of the times. I woke up this morning to 4 of the 5 dead & the 5th one will not make it. The 3 younger ones & the other fish seem fine, including 2 angles. I checked the temp, did water test everything is normal. They weren’t old, they are less than a year, just full size.
