Hello I am head sound and light technician in my high school's auditorium and recently we have been experiencing issues with our wireless mics. Right before our spring musical this year some of our microphones have started to sporadically cut out for just a few seconds at a time, then the problem seemed to have spread to all of our twelve mic packs (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ATW3110b-I/). I forget which frequency set we have of those. There doesn't seem to be any sort of trend as to when they cut out. There will start to be a slight fuzzy sound and the voices with cut out completely for a second or two then it will be restored to full volume. We have checked all of the connections between the actual microphones and the mic packs and also the connections in our cage. On one of our show nights we tallied over fifty cuts across all of the actor's/actress's mics. It does seem that the ones that talked more cut more, but that may have just been because we heard them more. We didn't have this issue in the fall when we had our play, so this is a more recent development.
