Post Body

Happy New Year in advance! First time running a 4 xlr snake using shielded cat 6 cable last night and I had some loud audio hum almost buzzing. The cat 6 is shielded twisted par with shielded connectors. They are not the type Iโ€™m used to that wrap around the cable. Ended up having no more hum entire night but I donโ€™t know what I did honestly. I wanna say one end I cut the drain and a lil foil on one end. Any advice on avoiding hum from a connection or if Iโ€™m getting some sort of ground loop would be awesome. Thanks
