Lost on how big or how good quality needs to be.

For reference, this will be in a conference room roughly 150 sq feet / 14 sq meter. Glass wall and narrow hallways outside. Roughly 30-40 attendees. Light house/edm music.

Believe my 8” studio monitors might be loud enough, and planned on getting a sub. But seeing people advise against this.

If I were to get let’s say 2x 8” PA speakers, sub, and stands, would that be sufficient? Is there immense quality difference with price?

Would this fly for example? https://a.co/d/bC5cwPy

UPDATE: thanks to all of your responses. I got some new proper 15” PA speakers today along with a sub. Probably overkill for the small office party but plan on doing some more gigs. Think I’m less concerned with loudness now. Thank you!!!
