Urgent! My game is affectively soft locked.

So it’s the final chapter, I’m 20 hours in to the game and the first dungeon I approach is the trial of time. I decide to rush in and honestly pretty quickly find the revolver. Problem is, I saved right after I got the weapon and now I cannot leave without defeating the boss. However, all of my characters are underleveled and I cannot defeat the boss. Is there any way to quickly escape the dungeon or do I have to start the chapter over again?
