I was on a walk today, and passed a little park that I usually look at longingly, sad I'm 23 and too "old" to play on it. There was no one at the park, so I tried to be brave and got on the swings for the first time in years... and it was SO MUCH FUN! I felt so happy, and couldn't stop smiling!
I'm autistic and have really bad anxiety and agoraphobia, so going out and doing things like that can feel almost impossible for me. I'm really proud of myself for taking a small step out of my comfort zone, and will definitely try to explore more playgrounds! Next time I go, I'm thinking of packing some fun snacks and coloring supplies so I can spend a whole afternoon at the park. I wish I had friends who would go to the park with me, but I won't let that stop me from enjoying the playground! I know it can be scary for some people, but if you have a park near you I really suggest you go explore it (especially when it's less crowded/or no kids)!
Unsure if this is allowed, (I apologize if not) but if you live in Colorado (I'm near Boulder) and want someone to go to the park with you, I'd definitely be down with meeting up! I love baking, and would happily bring yummy treats for after we play <3
