Little House has always been my comfort show, but after a million or so rewatches there are a handful of things I wish had been done differently
One thing is the writing for laura when she got older. I'm not sure if it's because Mary got a little longer to have an "adult" storyline before she got married, but Laura going from a little school girl to an engaged/married women always seemed clunky to me. And after she got married, it's like her character totally changed. She had her good moments, but she always seemed upset about something and there was so little character devlopment.
Making Eliza Jane a character that was in conflict with married laura. It might just be me, but I much perferd the slightly akward but loving sister/sister-in-law that Eliza Jane was before Almonzo got sick.
And this one I know a lot of people have talked about, but never showing or talking about characters who had an enitre eposidoe dedicated to them. I always wanted to know what happend to the little girl with one leg shorter then the other!
