Have next to no experience with this genre save for Primal Hunter, which so far has been fantastic, but I'm looking for something a little different. Ideally I'd mainly like the following if possible:

  • Powerscaling/Progression fantasy - not sure if this is the right phrase, but basically I love when the MC gets super overpowered
  • Romance - I do not want a harem, I'd prefer a single romance story woven into the plot but I don't care if there is romance with different people on an individual basis (typically I'd say 4 people in 10 books would be reasonable to me, depending on timeskips)
  • I'd like the general setting to be as close to "Medieval Fantasy" as possible.

A non-requirement but a bonus should it exist would be if the MC used powers akin to a Necromancer. I know "First Necromancer" Would be a choice for this so any reviews on that would also be great as I know nothing of the actual book.

I do not care for the gender of the main character as long as they are written well.

Typically I can overlook the setting and romance concept if the MC's powerscaling and progression is extremely high, so any recommendations on that end would also be welcomed.
