The title says it all.

I stumbled upon this book by accident which is a shame as it ticks all my boxes.

It's not the most stat heavy book but it is a unique and very interesting read.

It starts off very generic in a pretty weak opening. Guy didn't live a great first life but gets reincarnated as a baby in a new fantasy world.

Standard and basic but after that it gets interesting. Very very interesting. The characters are well fleshed out and one of the settings strongest focus is everybody starts as a human until aged 12 then you can pick to be a different fantasy race based on your life so far.

This alone is pretty unique and well executed

Couple that with the MC yearning to get stronger and an adventuring academy with its own intrigue and the story really picks up pace.

It's a long read as well which I love.
