I have summers off (bet you can guess my profession now), and have worked as a nanny for the last few years for friends who have kids who are close in age with mine. It's been a pretty easy gig, getting paid to supervise playdates while also have access to a pool.
One of the other perks- I have a big crush on the dad. He's a tall (big surprise, right?), hard working, funny guy, blue collar... basically checks all my boxes :) I get the feeling sometimes he may be into me too, but his wife has made it clear she is not the sharing kind. Hell, I wouldn't share him if he was mine either. My husband and I have cracked jokes about our lifestyle to see their reactions and she immediately shuts it down. What a bummer. Doesn't mean I can't think about it though.
Through bad luck, he's been injured almost every summer I've worked for them so he was home alot with us while I was there with our kids. We'd go swimming a lot, and I'd always wonder if he was watching (me) through the windows. I also walked through the house in my swim suit on multiple occasions, just to be a tease. He was home so much during the summers that we all joked he purposely did it so I'd have to take care of him too. It's a shame I really couldn't take care of him :)
A few months ago, we were at a birthday party for his kids and he was serving up the cake and ice cream. I walked up and he asked, "what do you want?" I was feeling a little more bold than normal and without thinking replied,
"What I want isn't kid-friendly so I can't say it right now...but I'll take a piece of cake in the meantime."
He got so flustered, and honestly, I was both embarrassed and proud of myself for making a move like that. Of course, nothing came of it, but its nice to think that maybe he thinks about me too :) 😘
