Post Body

Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this book and I plan to read it a second time . I can really relate to the themes of the Great Depression aftermath, especially in todayā€™s job market. The richness and depth of all the characters are incredibleā€”shoutout to Mick Kelly! Can you believe McCullers wrote this when she was just 22? Thatā€™s insane. Truly insane. Also, how ironic is it that she named a mute character ā€œSingerā€? And the way all the characters are obsessed with one another, but never to each other.

Dig deep of Jim Cows law and Southern America at that time. I watched a review somewhere saying this book is what makes America, America. As a non American, I donā€™t know how I feel about this comment.
