Overwhelmed with looking at specs, and youtube vids of rig building.
Post Body

So, I've been looking into where to get parts for a mining rig, and I came across some people in /r/litecoin who recommended these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1y6814127761

Basically, using those because R290's and r280's are impossible to find. I'm trying to get into this slowly, and not obsess over it like I did with other hobbies years ago (Hi, Golf and Scuba Diving!) and slowly learn whats best for me and what I want to do.

I believe in the mining aspect, and want to jump in, but I havent found a checklist or a guide that is super current, that links to specific good cards, etc.

Am I missing something? Is there a resource that's current and up to date? I'm also new to this, haven't built a PC in over 10 years and am a designer, on a Mac, and look at some of these numbers and my eyes cross.

Hope you guys can give some guidance on how best to proceed and get in the game.

I think I want to spend under $1K to start, and then build out my rig over time. Thoughts?

Thanks!! :)
