I believe that LiteCoins will be a good investment long-term. I plan on purchasing litecoins, but I would also like to contribute to the mining. I understand that it might not be hugely profitable at the moment to mine litecoins (ie: paying $1000 for a rig / current value of litecoins, it may take a long time to hit the break even point) but I'm willing to take that risk. As of right now, I only have a laptop, so I would need to buy/build a rig dedicated to mining. I would like to average 1 ltc/day for the next year, I understand that difficulty will go up, so I would like a really good rig now, so that it is still usable for the year.
What set up would you recommend to do this?
What pools would you recommend joining?
Would I be able to Mine for Bitcoins at the same time/ with the same rig?
Are there any prefabricated rigs that you would recommend?
I understand the idea of mining, and think I get the main differences between Litecoins and Bitcoins, but I'm hoping that this could also be used for future redditors looking to get into mining to understand what it takes to mine.
Thanks guys.
