Like chocolate and peanut butter, some things just add to one another.

I would love to expand the reach of litecoin (and cryptocurrencies in general) to more folks. Sure, I enjoy talking about these great technologies and ideas to everyone I know – but what else can I (we) do?

This past week, I helped two close friends with a HUGE computer problem – password management. Neither one knew the other, but they both came to me to get help on regaining control over their passwords. In both cases, I saw intelligent folks that were truly frustrated with computing in general – because they were constantly losing momentum with every lost/forgotten password.

Then I got to thinking about how can the litecoin community distinguish itself and further grow/branch out. Originally (and I still believe this) I feel that we need to reach out to more sellers/vendors to accept this great coin – but then I thought about last week’s experience with my friends.

What if we reached out to Lastpass to see about having a sponsored campaign. When a person buys a subscription to Lastpass they get a coupon/voucher for a litecoin (and we could have a donation address setup to have the community provide these.) Perhaps even see about having Lastpass accept Litecoin for future subscribers.

Why? I believe that the vast majority of folks out there with a computer are suffering from the tidal wave of passwords and they have never considered a password manager. Furthermore, I see bad password generation/management as a key problem preventing people adopting cryptocurrencies (like litecoin) en mass.

A password manager relieves a real pressure point for many, why not associate litecoin with this solution?

Why Lastpass? I’ve tried 1Password, roboform, etc – all are great products – I just like Lastpas (personal bias – I admit). Also, it starts with an “L” – so I see the ability to do something cool with a graphic combining Lastpass/Litecoin.

What do people think? Anyone know/have a connection with Lastpass? Ideas? I’m literally throwing this out there, just to see if this is something that the community thinks is interesting or not.
