Howdy folks. Been expanding my liquor collection a bit, but wanna make sure I'm able to do it right.
As of this moment, I've been using a repurposed DVD cabinet. The shelves are spaced nicely for the size and number of bottles in my possession presently. It has folding doors that keep them out of sunlight and keep them hidden as well.
But... I'm out of space, since it's a small cabinet.
I was thinking about upgrading to a curio cabinet, china cabinet, or hutch of some kind. A lot of these have glass panes that would allow them to be visible, and could make for a nice display. However, I am concerned for the matter of light. I would keep them in a room where the blinds stay closed, so not in direct sunlight, but still not in perpetual darkness either since some will clearly bleed through.
Is that likely to be a problem? Should I instead invest in another cabinet with doors that keeps them in the dark? Curious to hear folks' thoughts.
