hi.
i have windows 10 on my internal SSD. then i have an external SSD containing mint and kali. i also have an internal HDD that i use for backing up files. all 3 OS run smoothly.
except in order to get to the OS selection list, i always have to go into the bios and boot from the disk menu, otherwise i get "grub error: no such device."
i've tried updating grub via terminal on both mint and kali. any other ideas?
EDIT: fixed! solution = disabled fast boot. ezsh is right. legacy mode apparently automatically boots HDDs first if fast boot is enabled.
