Looking for Linux oriented hardware, any suggestions?
Post Body

Hi all! Looking to get a new personal laptop and I've started hearing about prepackaged systems that don't require proprietary drivers and come with preloaded distros and support. Trying to see if this would be worth it over converting a windows machine.

Most notably I've found System76/Clevo, Tuxedo Computers, and Purism. Was curious if anyone could attest to these or have a better suggestion? Are they worth it? I feel like for similar price points I could get an Alienware or Razer, etc and overcome the hurdles.

Couple notes: I'm a programmer looking for a workhorse, so need something beefy. I've had Dell Latitudes for many years and they do great, definitely my default option. Privacy is a big thing for me so bonus points points for privacy oriented hardware like killswitches.

Thanks in advance!
