When playing audio (over USB) Keyboard is almost completely unresponsive when used in a 3.0 port, but not when in a 2.0 port

Keyboard will be working perfectly then it will lock up once audio is played. If a key was held down at time of lock up it will be repeated, when the keyboard is locked up if you press 6 keys the 7th key will work and to fix the lockup I have to close the tab of my browser or application that was playing audio then smash a bunch of keys until it comes back. My mouse is also through USB 3.0 and is fine. This is very odd and I'm clueless so please feel free to ask for more info or suggest things to look at, because I don't know where to start.

Edit: My dumb ass just realized the other ports were 3.1 not 2.0
