I want to use 2 mice

I am ambidextrous. I have switched my mouse around to left and right sides as needed but im tried of it and want a left handed mouse.
On windows, afaik, you required a program to hot switch between them.
How does this go with Linux? I am using kubuntu.
I would like to just be able to hit a button and switch or preferably just have them both work all the time until one is disabled.
Any advice would be appreciated, bc searching online has given mixed results and no certainty.
