So my HDD recently died and I decided on the new one I'd install LMDE instead of Linux mint. So I went about installing things the way I normally have in the past. I triboot mint win7 and Sabayon. When all is said and done I use the grub2 from sabayon. This worked fine when I did it before with mint, however I've run into problems with LMDE. Oddly on the first run it went fine....it was only after I ran sudo apt-get upgrade that it messed everything up. Basically it won't boot at all. I can see the file on my hard drive from within Sabayon, except there is a major issue all of the /boot/ folder is empty. I see LMDE in the grub files but it launches sabayon. Obviously I can manually edit this but I have no kernel to point it to! How do I re-establish the boot folder? Typo in the title sorry.
