I recently got a T480S and its amazing. The wifi was working when it shipped with Windows and then stopped after an update. I was going to switch to Linux Mint anyways and made the change to that. I have been trying differnt things and cannot get the wifi to come on and I also tried upgrading the previous wifi card.
Edit: The original WiFi card is Intel 8265NGW. New WiFi card is Intel AX210NGW.
Update 6/14/24: I kept trying to do updates through the terminal, checking to see if it was a kernel issue. I finally went back and reinstalled the old wifi card and it was just a loose connection. I went back to the new wifi card and I am so happy to finally have wifi on my new linux machine.
