As this is my first time daily driving Linux, I find myself a bit conflicted when it comes to deciding between system package (.deb) installs and Flatpak installs. I like that the .deb installs are much smaller and just a bit faster while I like the fact that Flatpak installs are often more up to date (sometimes egregiously more so) and the fact that they are somewhat containerized. The unfortunate downside of that containerized nature is that it doesn't detect the theme-ing that I spent a fair amount of time setting up when I installed LMDE and the Cinnamon desktop.

My problem is that I can't find instructions on how to do exactly what I'm trying to do when I search the forums. The things that I find usually depend on using things like Flatseal and pre-installed themes, not what I set up during installation with the likes of the Welcome Screen and using the advanced settings of the themes tab to mix and match things for a custom look and going to the font selector to choose preferred typefaces, font sizing, and scaling, etc.

Is there an easy way to get what I want imported into the Flatpaks or am I going to have to create my own Flatpak Theme? If so, is there a template of sorts that I can just plug things into or a way to just have Cinnamon output the theme? Also, aren't there a couple of GUI formats or something that are used (I think GTK is one as well as Qt, no idea what I'm talking about but hopefully you understand what I'm trying to ask) and would every version detect them correctly?

• Desktop font: DejaVu Sans Book 12 (under Font Selection_Font Selection)
• Document font: DejaVu Sans Book 10 (under Font Selection_Font Selection)
• Monospace font: DejaVu Sans Mono Book 10 (under Font Selection_Font Selection)
