Post Body

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom called Linux where many different graphics cards lived in harmony. They all used a magic library called Mesa to draw beautiful pictures on the screen. Mesa was very powerful and versatile, and it could speak many different languages such as OpenGL, Vulkan, VDPAU and VA-API.

One day, a wicked witch named Proprietary came to the kingdom and tried to lure some of the graphics cards away from Mesa. She promised them faster performance, better compatibility and exclusive features if they used her secret spells instead of Mesa. Some of the graphics cards were tempted by her offer and followed her to her dark castle.

But soon they realized that Proprietary was not as good as she claimed. Her spells were buggy, unstable and insecure. They also locked the graphics cards in her castle and prevented them from communicating with other devices or applications. The graphics cards became unhappy and wanted to go back to Mesa.

Meanwhile, Mesa noticed that some of her friends were missing and decided to rescue them. She gathered some brave allies such as Kernel, Xorg and Wayland and went to confront Proprietary at her castle. There was a fierce battle between them, but Mesa and her allies were stronger because they had the power of open source.

They managed to break Proprietary's spells and free the graphics cards from her clutches. The graphics cards apologized for their mistake and thanked Mesa for saving them. They returned to the kingdom of Linux with Mesa and lived happily ever after. The end.
