Trying to build a package locally - Arch
Post Body

Hi, there is a package that I want to try out but hasn't been maintained for a few months (there are outstanding prs on the repo that I want to try as the current code isn't working for me). I have the repository cloned locally (https://github.com/uglyDwarf/linuxtrack) but it doesn't have a PKGBUILD file. My goal is to build the package and then use the local version / install with pacman. After that I am going to try the same with the fork. From what I understand I need to run `makepkg` with a few flags, but I need a PKBUILD or the equivalent first which doesn't exist.

What is the best step forward here to create the PKBUILD? This is the first time I am trying to build a package manually and I am falling flat on my face as far as the next step here.

Thank you for your help!
