Im running Ubuntu 19.04 as a dual boot, on a separate SSD than my Windows. I have noticed that the sound is much softer even at a 100% than compared to windows. Even bass sounds low.
Windows uses Realtek HD Audio codec.
I tried amplification on pavucontrol but that makes it sound worse and scratchy.
I have creative inspire 5221 speakers and I connect to the audio port using 3.5mm Male to Female 3 - way stereo splitter ( Main, Center, Rear ).
I'm running a HP Omen Obelisk desktop with this motherboard
Audio Codec: ALC3866-CG Picture of my Audio Port, labelled #6
Output from Terminal card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC1220 Analog [ALC1220 Analog] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
Any ideas what else could be going wrong ? This is like the final thing to make the set up perfect.
