I followed these http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-boot-a-linux-live-usb-stick-on-your-mac/ instructions. I'm able to boot from the USB drive. Everything seems to work up until the Ubuntu logo shows up, then the screen goes all distorted and sits there, I waited 5 minutes before restarting. Mac = Mac Book Pro OS 10.7.5 Intel 2.53 GHZ 4 GB of Ram
Any help would be great. Thanks
Edit: I'm going to try and boot up an older version of Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS PC (Intel x86) desktop CD
Edit: Tried with Ubntu 12.04 same problem
Edit: Tried with Linux Mint 15 cinnamon Screen screws up at the logo and then gives me a whole bunch of errors (sorry for the vagueness, I'm tired and going to bed)
