I am currently working on a degree in cybersecurity and ,after using Windows for the last couple of decades, I am learning how to use Kali. However, with the questionable business practices Microsoft has been doing in recent years, I've been wanting to move completely to linux. The problem is, I haven't found a distro that would fill everything I need. Right now for my main desktop, I'd need a distro that can handle heavy hitter games, works well with Steam and Discord, but can also function as a work station for writing papers, remoting into other PCs, or spinning up VMs. Other than that, I'd like to move my wife's PC to linux, so a distro that is very user friendly and used mainly for watching videos, web browsing, writing emails, and running the occasional lower spec game. Finally, I have a server running Windows server 2019 that has file, media, and print servers on that I would want to transition to linux. What would be some good distros to try?
